Strait Contractors (Pvt) Ltd is a Pakistan Engineering Council Category C-3 contractor delivering reinforced concrete structures, foundations and earthworks, roads, water retaining structures and renovation works for public-sector, defence, institutional and private clients across Pakistan.
We work as a single-point contractor. Estimation, procurement, site execution and quality control sit inside one organisation, under one project manager, reporting on one schedule — so the client deals with the party accountable for the result rather than coordinating five separate trades.
Reinforced concrete frame buildings on raft, pad and strip foundations. Multi-storey residential, institutional and commercial frames, including elevated and underground water tanks.
Site clearance, cut and fill, compaction, dewatering, machine foundations and equipment plinths designed for dynamic loads. Six dewatering pumps and five compactors held in-house.
Internal roads, hardstandings, parking, playgrounds, boundary walls and gates, external sewerage, water supply and site electrification.
PEC code CE04(iv). Overhead and underground RCC tanks, pump houses, tube wells and fire-fighting reservoirs, built watertight and tested before handover.
PEC code CE04(ii). Channels, protection works and flood control structures for public-sector and development-programme clients.
Live-environment refurbishment inside operating facilities — hospitals, mosques, offices — sequenced so the building keeps working while the work proceeds.
The Pakistan Engineering Council licence defines what a contractor may legally bid. Ours is Category C-3, Licence No. 2929, valid to 30 June 2026, first registered 13 May 1997, with a financial limit of Rs. 500 million per engineering work across sixteen specialisation codes.
| Code group | Codes held | Covers |
|---|---|---|
| Buildings | BC01, BC02, BC04 | Residential, commercial and institutional building construction |
| Civil | CE01, CE04(ii), CE04(iv), CE08, CE09, CE10 | General civil works, irrigation and flood control systems, water retaining structures |
| Electrical | EE01, EE02, EE03, EE04, EE06, EE11(iii), EE11(vi) | General electrical works and solar energy systems |
Enlistment matters more than marketing in public-sector work: it determines which tenders you are eligible to receive. Ours are current and evidenced by certificates held on file.

Different projects justify different commercial structures. We price under whichever of these suits the certainty of your scope and your appetite for risk.
Where the scope is fully documented, a fixed lump sum transfers price risk to us and gives you certainty. Where the scope is still developing — common on renovation inside live buildings — a schedule of rates or a guaranteed maximum price avoids pricing in contingency you may never use.
Owning plant rather than hiring it removes a common source of delay: waiting for equipment to become available. Carrying out carpentry, steel fabrication and electrical work in-house shortens lead times on fit-out and finishing trades and keeps quality control inside the company.
Plus 7,000 sft shop-fabricated wooden shuttering, 30 steel column forms and 1,500 scaffolding pipes. Enough stock to run continuous RCC frame construction across multiple floors without hire-in.
7 mixer machines, 6 lift machines, 3 concrete lifts to 20 m, 30 tipping trollies, 3 vibrators, 5 compactors, 2 tractors, 2 water bowsers of 10,000 gal and a 100 kVA generator.
Concrete and masonry crew, steel fabrication unit, wood workshop for joinery and formwork, and an electrical shop.
Twelve concrete lab test moulds for cube sampling, plus welding plants with non-destructive weld testing on structural steel work.
Works below are evidenced by contract documents and completion certificates held on file. Client certificates are available on request as part of a pre-qualification pack.

C-3 permits engineering works up to a financial limit of Rs. 500 million per work. Our licence is No. 2929, valid to 30 June 2026, covering sixteen specialisation codes across building, civil and electrical categories. For public-sector tenders the licence category and specialisation codes determine eligibility, so it is worth confirming both against the tender notice before bidding.
Yes. Completed works are recorded in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and wider Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. Enlistments with CDA, DHA Islamabad, PDA in Peshawar and CNW support work across those jurisdictions.
Yes, and a meaningful share of our recent work is exactly that. The AFIRM Rawalpindi contracts involved renovating hospital diagnostic areas and public corridors in a working facility, which required phasing, dust and noise control, and sequencing around clinical hours.
MES enlistment is Category A+ with no financial limit, which is separate from and higher than the PEC C-3 limit that applies to general engineering works.
For a documented BOQ with drawings, a priced return usually takes a few working days depending on scale. Send the tender documents to info@straitcontractors.com and we will confirm a date for the priced submission before we start.
Send the drawings, BOQ or a description of the scope. You will get a written response from the people who will actually run the job — usually within 24 hours.
